Traditional and sustainable ship 'Unexptected'

The Unexptected was built in Zwartsluis, a small harbor village in the East of The Netherlands, in 1908. It was originally used as a cargo ship. Later on, she was rebuilt into a boathouse. In the nineties, the ship was renovated again, thistime into a charter ship.

The Unexptected is very well maintained and has a traditional and unique character. Theship is fast and strong and sails perfectly under harsh weather conditions.A trip on this historical sailing ship is an unforgettable experience.

Despiteits traditional appearance, below deck, the ship has a contemporary look. The salon and galley are well maintained and matches all your wishes and needs. We offer fully catered trips. Your meals will be prepared by your very own private chef. It is also possible to use the kitchen and take care of your own meals.

On the same floor, six cabins are located, and atotal of 20 bunk beds is present. You only need to take a sleeping bag with you. It is also possible to rent duvets. Every cabin has its own small window. Enjoy afresh sea breeze while lying in your cozy and comfortable bed! In every cabin, a sink is present.

The ship has a quality mark for sustainability. Together with four other ships, the Unexpected belongs to a select group of 'green' ships in the Netherlands.

You can book several types of trips with us: a sailing weekend, a weekend with your friends, family or colleagues, a sailing holiday, a school trip, or a teambuilding boat trip. Sailing trips for larger groups and arrangements or individual trips are also possible.

Sailing experience is required.
